We appreciate everyone taking time out of their busy schedule to share slides of their accomplishments from the year, to network with others as well as contribute to the ongoing conversation on how to move the WMCN forward in their mission and goals.
A special round of applause goes to Kent County Parks for hosting at their fabulous new Parks Department offices at 1700 Butterworth Dr SW in Grand Rapids.
In addition, we would like to thank Ottawa County Parks and Recreation Commission Director and Planner, Jason Shamblin and Aaron Bodbyl-Mast for their inspiring presentation entitled Grand River Greenway: Past, Present, and Future. New Kent County Parks and Recreation Director, Ben Swayze, gave a short update on expansion of the GR Greenway into Kent County.
Congratulations to Mark Fitzpatrick and Ginny Wanty for receiving the WMCN’s Conservation Leadership Award. Both have worked diligently in a variety of ways to support the WMCN over the years. The WMCN would not be where they are now without their leadership and dedication.
We are looking forward to having even more WMCN partners attend in person the Annual and Partner Meeting in 2024!
